Cap per year, across all supported activities

Those are the ceilings for the scheme, not a rate anyone can promise you. Enterprise Singapore has said support levels vary by activity and has not published the activity-by-activity detail yet. Anyone quoting you a firm percentage this week is guessing. We will check what your project actually qualifies for and tell you before you commit to anything. The cap resets every 1 April. For the scheme itself, read our full EDGE Grant guide.

Project scope

What your ecommerce project can include

The application is assessed on deliverables, so we break the project into named parts rather than one line that says "a website". Take the ones you need and leave the rest.

What we deliver

Build the store, bring in the right traffic, and improve what happens after the click

We scope each part separately, from the store build and catalogue through to SEO and conversion work. That makes the project easier to understand, easier to price, and easier to submit.

Build

Ecommerce website design and build

A new store, or a rebuild of one that has stopped pulling its weight. Shopify or WooCommerce, built around the payment and delivery options Singapore shoppers expect.

Migrate

Replatform and migration

Moving off Wix, or away from an ageing WooCommerce build. Products, customers and orders come across. We map the redirects too, so your existing search visibility does not disappear when the new store goes live.

SEO

Ecommerce SEO

Category and product pages built to rank. Schema across the whole catalogue, and indexation kept under control so your own filters do not bury the pages that matter.

CRO

Product page and checkout optimisation

Most stores lose people somewhere between the product page and the confirmation screen. That is usually fixable, and it is cheaper than buying more traffic.

Data

Analytics and conversion tracking

GA4 ecommerce tracking, purchase and checkout events, and revenue reported by channel. Without it, you are optimising blind, and you have less evidence to support the claim.

Included

AI Connector for WooCommerce

An integration layer that puts your catalogue into a form machines can read. Included with the WooCommerce packages in our EDGE range.

Why businesses work with us

Why Singapore SMEs work with us

Ecommerce experience

We have built stores for watch retailers, a skincare brand, caterers and a motor workshop. Different catalogues, different checkout problems, same team.

The store and the traffic, planned together

There is no point paying for clicks that land on a product page nobody finishes. We can scope the build, the SEO and the ads as one project so they are designed to work together.

Everything stays in your name

Your store, your ad accounts, your analytics. We work inside them. That also makes the claim easier to put together when the project is done.

How the grant works

What changed from PSG

PSG stopped taking new applications on 29 September 2026. EDG and MRA closed the same day. From 30 September everything goes through EDGE instead. If you were planning to fund an ecommerce project through PSG, EDGE is now the route to use. If you got an application in before the cutoff, it is still being assessed under the old rules and you do not need to do anything.

EDGE runs across eight business areas, one of which is Automation and Digitalisation. That is where an ecommerce project is most likely to sit, but the exact activity classification depends on the scope, so we confirm it against the current Business Grants Portal requirements before you apply. Once you are approved, we build the store and get the agreed work underway.

SMEs and non-SMEs

Annual cap

S$100,000 per year overall, with S$30,000 of that available for digital and automation activities

Scope

Eight business areas, including Automation and Digitalisation

How it runs

From first call to launch

01

Confirm eligibility

We check your registration, local shareholding and company size against the current criteria on the portal.

02

Scope the store

We define the build and growth deliverables and prepare a detailed quotation that maps to what the application asks for.

03

Submit the application

You apply through the Business Grants Portal before any of the work starts. We make sure the scope and the paperwork line up before it goes in.Two rules catch people out here. You cannot have started the work or paid a deposit before the application goes in, and the application has to come from you rather than from us, because Enterprise Singapore does not allow a third party to apply on an applicant’s behalf.

04

Build and claim

We build the store and run the growth work. Support is reimbursed, so you claim after the activity is completed and paid for in full.

Questions about the work

Frequently asked questions

Can I use EDGE to build a new online store?

Ecommerce is the kind of work the scheme was built for. Whether your particular scope qualifies, and at what rate, comes down to the activity it is filed under, so we check that with you and confirm on the portal before you commit to anything.

We already have a store. Can an upgrade be funded?

Rebuilds have been supported where the work gives you something you did not have before, rather than a new coat of paint. Scope decides it. Bring your current store to the call and we will tell you which parts are likely to count.

What costs does EDGE actually pay for?

Enterprise Singapore lists software costs as the supported cost on the ecommerce activity, capped at twelve months, and excludes GST and maintenance from support. That is narrower than most people expect, and it is the reason we break a project into named parts and tell you which ones are likely to be supportable before you apply rather than after.

Do we need to pick Shopify or WooCommerce before we apply?

Not necessarily. The platform is your call and it does not decide eligibility. What the assessor looks at is the deliverables in the quotation, which is why we list the catalogue, payment, delivery and SEO work as separate items.

Can SEO go in the same project as the build?

Usually yes. We name each deliverable separately in the quotation, which makes the assessment cleaner and the claim less painful later. It also means the store and the SEO get designed together rather than bolted on afterwards.

Which is better for us, Shopify or WooCommerce?

Shopify if you want someone else handling the hosting and updates. WooCommerce if you want full control of the site and the stack. We will recommend one after looking at how big your catalogue is, what it needs to connect to, and who is going to run the store day to day.

Will checkout work with PayNow and the local couriers?

Yes. We work with PayNow, HitPay, Stripe, Atome, GrabPay, Apple Pay and Google Pay on the payment side, and Ninja Van, Qxpress, Janio, SingPost and DHL for delivery.

We are on Wix and want to move. Is that a problem?

No, and it is one of the more common jobs we take on. Products, customers and order history come across. We map redirects from the old URLs too, because that is where most migrations quietly lose their rankings.

What is the AI Connector?

It is our WooCommerce integration layer. It puts your catalogue into a form search engines and AI assistants can read directly, instead of them guessing from the words on the page. It is included with the WooCommerce packages in our EDGE range.

We are not an SME. Are we out?

No, and this is the biggest change. PSG was SMEs only. Under EDGE a non-SME can apply too, at a lower rate than an SME. If your finance team was told a few years ago that the company was too big to qualify, that answer is out of date.

Do we only pay the part the grant does not cover?

No. You pay the full invoice plus GST first, then claim the supported portion back once the work is finished and paid for. Budget for the whole amount up front.

If we use a listed vendor, are we guaranteed approval?

No. Enterprise Singapore decides, based on your business and what you are proposing. What we can control is the paperwork, so we make sure that part is not the reason you get turned down.

Where can we read about the scheme itself?

Our EDGE Grant Singapore guide goes through the scheme properly: what replaced PSG, the caps, and who qualifies.
